Additions and Some Housekeeping

October 1, 2010

Once again, I find myself busy trying to “perfect” some of the techniques I’ve been learning. For instance, here is a daffodil card that I finished for a good friend. In this, I used polychromos from the front and back, one of the pencil techniques I described in the Working with Pencils post. However, this time all stages of the pencil work was blended with natural turpenoid (a blending medium — and has a very light citrus scent).

Since I’ve been so preoccupied, I thought this would be a good time to write a post letting you all know about the blogs and albums of other parchers that I am adding to the side bar on the right (some of these you may need to use a translating program). Please give a big parchy welcome to:

Joanna Bjutus

Carole Ciach

Gail Sydenham

Bruno Piechota

Loes Laanen

Miki Green

Corry’s Creations

As my internet service has been off and on and will be until Sunday I guess that should do it for the time being.

As for the housekeeping part, there’s been a change in the header image, and some minor “tweaks” behind the scenes.

If you know of other parchment blogs, albums or websites that you would like to see listed in the sidebar, please leave me a message in comments.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thanks Jerri! It was fun playing around with blending the pencils like this. There are still several layers, trying to get the shading right. When you need a quick card, this is a great, and effective technique.
