Merry Christmas!

December 25, 2010

Ah! It’s Christmas morning, and as I await the rest of the households rising, I wanted to take a moment and wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

I also wanted to share with you some of the parchment ornaments I have. Last year on the WightCat yahoo group, I participated in an ornament swap. It was a long, extended swap, where each of us made two ornaments a month and sent them to our partner, and each month you had a different partner.I have a lovely collection of ornaments from around the world.

A couple of months ago, I found a perfect hanger for these ornaments, which are on display in the livingroom this year. Two of the ornaments are not on there as they are, for lack of a better description, light covers. They wrap around the lights on the tree, and unfortunately I was not able to get a good picture of them. But I will tell you they are lovely, especially when the tree lights are on.

I hope each and every one of you have a blessed season!

See you all next year!

Merry Christmas Chiara. These are lovely Chiara – just love the fancy little hanger. What a great idea for the swap. As you know my last pack was Christmas decortions and they look great on the tree. These you have are lovely shapes and give me more ideas.
We celebrated our Christmas yesterday and today we go to the Boxing Day sales – fun. Have a lovely day and look forward to hearing from you in the New Year…. Happy New year. Cheers Barbara

    Merry Christmas Chiara!!
What a lovely idea to do an ornament swap. Indeed you have a display now with lot of ornaments from around the world. Really a nice way to show to people on this dis-play. I wish we had a Hobby Lobby here too. When I was with Eleanor we visit that shop more then once and it was like a child in a candy shop………LOL
Hope you have wonderful days with your guys………..
    Love, Nelly

Hi Chiara – a belated HAPPY FESTIVE SEASON to you and your loved ones – and to Hilary, Vickie, and Jerri too –

Lovely idea with the ornament swap – very innovative – they look lovely on your `lucky` find to hang them on – another good idea for hanging little treasures that are keepsakes is a (jewellery hanger for necklaces and rings etc) or, like me, a nice shaped glass jar filled with glass pebbles with an artistic shaped small branch of a tree in the centre (the glass stones giving the weight to hold the small branch), and then all the wonderful little keepsakes hanging on it –

when all my Xmas cards are all taken down (we finish Christmas on 6th January here as the Spanish families celebrate their Christmas dinner on the evening of the 24th, and most of them go to Church on 25th – then life is one big Festivity right up until the Day of the Coming of the Three Kings, where they parade in all the villages with highly decorated Kings on their beautiful Andalusian horses, throwing handfuls of sweeties to all the little children watching them go by – and the Spanish children have their pressies on the 6th as well – then everything returns to normal again – so it`s a looooong Christmas here – but I will take a photo of my little `tree` with all the beautiful little keepsakes I have been sent and have hanging all year round –

Your picture is lovely Chiara, and the keepsakes too – wishing you all a Happy Boxing Day, and with every good wish to you and to all our parching friends all over the world for the New Year of 2011 – keep up your wonderful work Chiara, and hoping to see lots more wonderful articles and your lovely work too – LOVE AND HUGS TO YOU ALL – Katy xxxx
